How Kadem Technologies collects, uses and protects information on christech.co.ke.

Last updated: 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kadem Technologies ("Kadem Technologies", "we", "us", "our"), the company operating the website at christech.co.ke ("the Website"), collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you visit the Website, submit an enquiry, or use the Kadem AI assistant. By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who We Are

Kadem Technologies is a technology services company registered in Kenya, operating under the christech.co.ke domain and, historically, under the Chris Tech brand. Kadem Technologies is the data controller for the information described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form, this includes your full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you're enquiring about, and any project details you choose to share.
  • Information you provide to Kadem AI. Messages you send to the Kadem AI assistant are processed in order to generate a response. We do not ask the assistant to collect personal information beyond what you volunteer in the course of conversation.
  • Communication you initiate. If you contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, we collect whatever information is contained in that communication.
  • Standard technical data. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited) for security, performance and diagnostic purposes. We do not use this data to build individual marketing profiles.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or biometric data) through the Website, and we ask that you avoid including such information in the contact form or in messages to Kadem AI.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form;
  • Provide relevant, on-topic responses through the Kadem AI assistant;
  • Communicate with you about a project, quotation, or service you've enquired about;
  • Maintain the security, functionality and performance of the Website;
  • Meet legal or regulatory obligations where applicable.

We do not use the information you submit to send unsolicited marketing communications, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: your consent (given by submitting the contact form or messaging Kadem AI); the necessity of processing to respond to your enquiry or take steps toward a contract at your request; and our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the Website.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf strictly to deliver a specific function of the Website — for example, an email delivery provider used to route contact-form submissions to our support inbox, or an AI infrastructure provider used to generate Kadem AI's responses. These providers only receive the minimum information necessary to perform that function and are not authorised to use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, where we are required to disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or respond to a valid legal request.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Kadem AI conversation history is stored only in your own browser session for the duration of your visit and is not retained by us on our servers beyond what is needed to generate a response.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we collect, including transmitting contact-form submissions over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and storing any credentials required to operate the Website (such as API keys) as server-side secrets that are never exposed in the Website's public code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website may use minimal, functional browser storage (such as remembering your light/dark theme preference) that does not track you across other websites. We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes, this Policy will be updated accordingly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to project sites and platforms operated by our clients or by Kadem Technologies for demonstration purposes. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external sites, and we encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party site you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
